I delivered a public speech at 'URP Talk 2023,' organized by the URP Students' Association of BUET (USAB) on December 9, 2023. This event, a tradition for current batches, serves as a platform to present thoughts on diverse topics and share intriguing ideas, experiences, and enthusiasm. My presentation focused on 'Karoshi: The Toxic Work Culture of Japan.' The term, originating from Japan, signifies death due to overwork. Reflecting on the toxic work culture, it emanates from relentless overtime and stress. Societal expectations of loyalty often result in extreme exhaustion, negatively impacting health. Addressing this issue is crucial for individual well-being and fostering a healthier work environment.

As an integral part of the festivities, we organized a series of events, including sports, a grand rally, a color fest, cultural performances from all batches, and a grand dinner followed by the lottery. The event was inaugurated by our respected provost with a ceremonial cake-cutting.
