Padma Multipurpose Bridge was officially inaugurated on 25th of June, 2022 amid huge festivity. Mighty Padma is the second largest river of strong current (roughness) in the world after the Amazon River in Brazil. Bridging the backward southwest region with the rest of the country through this mega structure is surely an engineering wonder. A group of engineers, planners & experts from BUET was directly associated with the construction of Padma Bridge. Commemorating their contributions, Directorate of Students’ Welfare (DSW) of BUET has organized an essay writing competition titled “Contribution of BUET in constructing the Padma Bridge”. 

I have won the 3rd position in this competition & received a certificate, crest & other gifts from the honourable Vice Chancellor of BUET, Professor Dr Satya Prasad Majumder sir.

I have participated in BUET Debating Club presents "FRESHERS DEBATING 2021" along with my teammates Nafisa Tasnia Nafi & Riad Ahmed Anonto. Our team-"Claymore" became the breaking first team to the Semis with 3 wins & 823 speakers points. We defeated team Guilty Crown in the semi final on 21 April, 2021 & went to the Grand Finale. The Grand Finale was held on 5 May, 2021 & Team Claymore became the 1st Runners Up of the tournament.
